How it all started...
In 1997, we had the vision to start the church. After prayer and exhaustive search we found the property in Greeneville, TN which is now the land where Still Water Church sits . We didn’t have much money or any financial support, so we took a step of faith and borrowed the money to make a down payment on the land. We had to make a few tough choices and we did. We sold our home in North Carolina and moved to Tennessee to begin the work here in Greeneville. In the past 27 years, the Lord has blessed us tremendously which allows us to continue to grow Still Water Ministries into a multifaceted ministry that includes a bible college, youth programs, and outreach programs. - Pastor Jerry and Nancy Gunter
Expanding the vision...
Here at Still Water Ministries we have found our mission field growing within our community. About a year ago we launched 5 Loaves and 2 Fish (5L2F), this occurs on the last Wednesday of every month in place of our normal services. We are able to spend quality time with other local ministries serving others a free delicious meal and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. We plan to continue the vision by finding new avenues of sharing the gospel.
Where we are headed...
Here at Still Water Ministries our main objective is to lead people to Jesus Christ. We want to help provide a community that encourages a godly, successful lifestyle. We want the next generations to know that there is joy in serving Jesus.
